Springfield Sports Commission Announces New Basketball Event

Springfield, Missouri – The Springfield Sports Commission is pleased to announce the NXTPRO Hoops Series is coming to Springfield July 5-7, 2024.

The high-profile basketball event will bring about 100 teams to The Clubhouse and The Fieldhouse in Springfield and the Strafford Sports Center during the Fourth of July weekend. About 95% of the teams will be from out-of-town, generating 1,500 room nights at hotels and over $1 million in economic impact.

Sports Commission Executive Director Lance Kettering expressed excitement about the upcoming event, commenting, “We are thrilled to partner with Strafford Sports Center, The Clubhouse, and The Fieldhouse to bring this high-level event to Springfield. Springfield and the surrounding area have always been known for their appreciation of basketball, and this event should further illustrate southwest Missouri’s love of basketball. We thank our facility partners for opening their doors for this event.”
