Ward Branch Greenway is currently in two sections that are planned to eventually connect. One segment connects Burrell Center Lake to Twin Oaks Park/substation on Republic Road and on to The Library Center. The other section has two miles that connect Wanda Gray Elementary School to River Bluff Cave Archeology Museum (across the road from Rivercut Golf Course). This section is also very wooded and scenic as it meanders back and forth along Ward Branch Creek.

Wilson’s Creek Greenway links to South Creek Greenway in southwest Springfield, at the popular junction called Tal’s Trailhead. This trail is lovely and travels through the popular Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park. As this trail and others begin to connect, a greenbelt is forming to surround our community, providing more public trail access and more opportunities for active transportation routes. Trail users will also be able to connect eventually to downtown from this trail too, as it is planned to connect to Jordan Creek Greenway.
